Comptroller of Public Accounts, Criminal Investigation Division

The Criminal Investigation Division investigates allegations of intentional criminal conduct against the state tax laws administered by the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts. You can report suspected fraud or criminal activity involving Texas state taxes to the Comptroller's Criminal Investigation Division.

The Texas State Auditor's Office

The State Auditor’s Office investigates allegations of misuse and/or illegal acts involving state resources. Anyone with information about the misuse or misappropriation of state resources can report this information by phone to (800) TX-AUDIT or use the State Auditor’s Fraud Web site.

In 2015, the Texas Legislature passed House Bill 855, which requires state agencies to publish a list of the three most commonly used Web browsers on their websites. The Texas Comptroller’s most commonly used Web browsers are Microsoft Internet Explorer, Google Chrome and Apple Safari.
